As a Sheffield based roofing company, we are well known in the local area, however we do also get roofers recommendations from previous customers that results in projects further a field. Our case studies page shows some of our recent roofing project, which will give you an idea of why so many customers recommend us to their friends.

One such example from our case studies are the photo shown here. They are from two Victorian semis in Stocksbridge, Sheffield, which the client wanted Chatsworth natural blue slates for the new roof. As part of the roofing project we also did a complete refurbishment of the chimney stacks. The results were then shown to the client by the use of our drone to capture the finished roof photos.

Types of roofs used for extensions

We do also do quite a lot of extensions with flat roofs and these days the choice is just down to style preference. Modern flat roofs have overcome most of the issues that used to put customers off using flat roofs for extensions, which is why they have become more popular.

As with any roofing contract we receive, we adhere to all roofing regulations and health and safety, as can be seem with the scaffolding we used for this roof extension.

The Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC) is a well known trade association that was established in 1985 and aims to improve professionalism in the UK roofing industry.

Roofing customers know as soon as they see the CORC logo that the roofing company is a vetted approved member of CORC and must be a reliable and competent company, that strives to have the trust and approval of all customers past and present.

A code of practice is also in place for all CORC members to ensure that all customers, of member's, get the best roofing service possible. This is through members adhering to the code of practice and doing everything by the book. Things like a 14 day cooling off period document, which should be given to customers before any work is started but quite often is not by other companies. Also health and safety advice is on hand from CORC to ensure your property is as safe as possible. Further more all member companies can offer 10-20 year Insurance Backed Guarantees for the complete peace of mind of the customer.

The customer is always right

This may not always be the case but at least with CORC approved members, there is some accountability if you the customer have a disagreement on work with a member roofing contractor. This comes in the form of The CORC in house complaints department that will aim to impartially adjudicate any dispute between customers and roofers.

Due to the impartial nature of this, the result is usually fair and settled outcome. However sometimes it is the case that the roofing contractors work needs to be checked and if so Roofline Developments and CORC both recommend the use of a RICS registered surveyor, to provide an impartial report to let you know if the workmanship on the roof was up to standard or not.

To further inspire its members to achieve the highest level of professionalism and tradesmanship, CORC has monthly and yearly awards which are announced on their website.

Roofline Developments LTD has three times won monthly awards with CORC and are very proud of this achievement with so many members and roofing projects to compete with. With continual training and technology investment Roofline Developments LTD hopes to collect some more awards in the near future.
